I work at Heartland Humane Society now (have been for a few months actually...woops!!) and I've been unofficially dubbed the "art girl". Meaning I come up with creative, artsy ways to promote the adoption of our animals. I make scrapbook pages for the animals that have been there the longest or may have an issue that makes it hard to adopt them out (old, medical problem, etc). Anyway, I'm on a mission to make posters to post around the shelter and around town. I'm going to use as many as our own animals for pictures as possible. So I'm trying to get into photo manipulation beyond airbrushing and fixing the contrast on the pictures I take. I actually wanna do hardcore photo manipulation. Problem is, I don't know which program would be best to start with. Anything beyond what I already do on photoshop confuses me. I HATE Illustrator. And I don't know any other programs beyond that. I know, such a n00b, right? So if any of you out there know a good program to start out with let me know! Thanks!
